DIY Framed TV Build - LED Backlight
Turn your boring mounted TV into an eye catching piece of art! This is a simple $20 project that you can do in a single day even as a beginner DIYer.
It's made of 1x4 pine wood that is cut at a 45 degree angle. The dimensions are just a 1/2" greater on each side than the size of the TV - so that way you can actually see the TV LED backlight colors and it'll give it some air ventilation to prevent over heating.
Let me know if you have any questions! But first hit that like button and subscribe as a free way to show your support!
Thanks for watching the video on the DIY Framed TV Build - LED Backlight.

DIY Headboard Slat Wall - Let's Build!
Просмотров 260Месяц назад
In this video I'll go step by step on how to build a slat wall headboard. I'm not sure what to call it really but it's taking the popular 1x2 slat wall approach but just applying it to a headboard and cutting it at an angle. There's really not much to it - this project is made of premium pine 1x2 slats cut from 32" at the highest point angled down 4 degrees to the 28" board on the far right. Ju...
REVIEW: Alpine Ozone Generator to Remove Odors
Просмотров 354Месяц назад
Today I'll be reviewing the Alpine Ozone Generator because someone threw a CRAZY party at one of the AirBnbs we manage with our company Wishlist Property Management. The smell would not go away, even after the cleaners finished up at the home and worked the entire time with the windows open. I also just so happened to need it for our mountain property where another older guests could not make i...
Install Replacement Windows - Remove Old Wood Windows
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.2 месяца назад
I'll never hire out replacing windows again... this is one of the easiest DIY jobs you can do when compared to the cost savings. I put it up there with recessed light installations (super easy DIY project). Get your measurements, walk into Lowe's or Home Depot to pick up the in-stock replacement windows. Demo out the old wood windows. Install the new vinyl replacement windows. Caulk it, trim it...
DIY Electrical Fireplace Build & Slat Wall

Welcome back, DIY enthusiasts! In this video, I'll guide you through the process of creating a stunning custom floating electric fireplace, complete with a stylish 1x2 slat wall above it. Follow along as I frame it out using 1x8s, nail it all up with my trusty 18ga nail gun from Ryobi, and meticulously sand every surface to perfection. To achieve that rustic charm, I opted for the timeless Spec...
How Much Rent Can I Get With Just A $10K Remodel?

This project was a true budget heavy adventure. We stayed under the $10k max budget but was able to put in enough sweat equity alongside that money to bump up the rent another $200 PLUS own a home that I can be proud of. We put in a lot of quality work to make this place clean, safe, and quite a bit cozier than what it was. Some viewers may disagree with this practice and would prefer the $1,40...
6ft Drill Bit to Install Recessed Lights with NO Attic Access!

Another recessed light video? Why yes, yes it is.. But this time there's no attic access which is a game changer. I'm going to go through the install process step-by-step for when you need to install those beautiful recessed wafer lights but can't access the ceiling from above. Having an attic makes things a million times easier but it isn't always possible so with the help of a 6' long drill b...

Pt 9: Upstairs Bathtub Remodel | Lakeside Bungalow
Просмотров 3998 месяцев назад
Now the upstairs bathroom is all done! It's set with a steel 30" bathtub install, a half wall that I had to build custom, plumbing, some electrical, and more. The hardest part of all these projects is brainstorming the ideas. This bathroom was tricky with it's weird layout but we made it work to where we didn't have to change the layout which could've been costly. Now we're pretty much all set ...

Pt 8.1 Forming the Mud Bed Shower Pan & Plumbing | Lakeside Bungalow

Everything is now officially demolished and it's time to rebuild. We've already done a ton of the electrical so it's about time we dive into the plumbing and getting the bathrooms up in and running. Pt 7: Opening Up the Stairwell - Biggest Update Yet! | Lakeside Bungalow AirBnb
Просмотров 3919 месяцев назад
Getting rid of this closed-in stairwell is probably THE biggest update we could make to this lakeside home remodel. None of these walls were load bearing so I was able to do anything I wanted to them, which of course meant creating an open floorplan. Not only will this look better, but it'll help with the airflow in here too since there is only 1 HVAC unit. I hope you enjoy the last bit of demo...

Fantastic idea using metal rods as supports, maybe not such a good idea for somebody who is not that good with accuracy in measurements. Agree with another person's comment regarding plastic, the idea is to use gravel under so water can drain away from wood base and not get retained, obviously for longevity of the sleeper boarder. Ok I'm from UK and pressure treated wood here is shit but using a wood preserver under at base will also add to the longevity. Good video.

Ah! I found this video after making a hash of one of my walls last night in my new shower. I used this grout in 85 degree temps, 6 PM in California in the Summer. Using water from the hose and mixing with a mixer on slow speed (like thinset). My grout hardened in 10 minutes (after I finished applying 1 wall) so much to where I could only go through with a grout removal tool... still doing that today to get the hardened grout out if I can. Hoping to save the wall (luckily was white grout). Moral of the story: READ THE DIRECTIONS! Mapai has a technical bullitin on using this product in hot weather. Pay attention to it! This is a great product, but by golly it is NOT like "normal" grout.

This video is so BS. Miter Saw, Pine Wood, Stain, Poly, Glue do not add up to "How to Frame a Bathroom Mirror for Just $10". Why not be honest, or at least change the title to "How to frame a Mirror with Wood"? Btw, Have you priced Pine Wood recently?

Good idea, but poor execution. Wood glue will hold for just a little while and not well at all on stained or painted wood. If you want to pre-finish stain it but leave raw wood exposed where glue will be applied.

Thanks for this video. We were 1st time tile grouters and I almost gave up on the MAPEI Ultracolor Plus FA we had purchased for our tile entryway project after seeing Jeff's video. I really like his content and appreciate that he warned us about the potential pitfalls of this product. You video gave us hope and other RUclipsrs ID'd and detailed other Failure scenarios. Bottom line is we used it and got a great result. Kept the room cool, used cold water, mixed by hand in smallish batches, followed package instructions TO THE LETTER and watched the applied grout like a hawk. Turned out we had more than enough open time and it was pretty easy.

Your mortar is a bit thick. It helps that you used an impermeable membrane under it but that’s not likely enough to keep it from crumbling once dry. This is a common error that has come up during the many “re”installs I’ve done. Mortar should be of a slightly thin peanut butter, it should slide out of the bucket under its own weight. Not run out but just slide out. I don’t bother with plastic under the mortar but I do wet the subfloor slightly if it’s wood. Otherwise, your tutorial looks pretty on point. Nice work!

Where does the plastic sheet "skirt" go in the stack up of the floor? Between the plywood and lower thinset? Between the lower thinset and uncoupling membrane? Between the uncoupling membrane and upper thinset? Between lower thinset and uncoupling membrane would make the most sense to me because though the plastic would prevent the bond between the thinset and membrane, the neighboring thinset and membrane would be bonded, so they'd still essentially still be coupled.
